This is all and only done in the afflicted software unless what make the "cut" in the signal being read is the driver that allows the PC to "read" the input signal.
The reason why movement can get stuck like you mention is usually when there's a "cut" in the signal when the thumbstick is pushed and then the signal is not perfectly synchronized. If the driver itself has a fault or there are some conflict between multiple drivers, then a game could provoke some sort of "crash" in the driver. The highlight on the controller is a simple LED light when there's "power" sent in the device and the ability to the PC to detect what kind of device is simply a "Read-Only" part registered in the small board inside the controller.)Īs for the driver, a game can access the data through the driver, but it can't change or affect the driver directly. It's not like an headset that can load data from the PC.
(Or, if you prefer, there's only a listener in the USB plug. That's because the controller is a device with, as data, is set to "Read-Only" at all time.
They can be differently interpreted on a software if the software was done so, but that software can't force another software to have any kind of "effect" on the inputs. The controller's input can't be modified by any software.
Or the does not recognize the Xbox One controller as a PS4 controller and after some time it starts to malfunction.įrom a technical side, it's impossible for the game to have any effect on your controller unless your PC has some issues with the software side of it, meaning the drivers. It just sounds like some sort of sabotage from Sony for people playing it with and XBOX controller, since the game was previously an PS4 exclusive. This issue only happens after playing Nioh Because I've tested every single one of them and the controllers works fine in another games. There is no way it can be my PC USB ports. I've tested it with 3 controls so far and 2 of them are pretty much broken now. The control starts to malfunction as if its has been infected by some virus or something, and that issue is carry on to other games after playing Nioh. After some time playing, the analog sticks starts moving by itself or not responding properly, causing the character to stuck movement and cancel other actions. I dunno if the game is messing with the controller circuits or if it causing issues with the USB port, but the game prety much broke 2 xbox one controllers of mine.
